Birthday Girl

The past two weekends we have celebrated Olivia's 6th birthday. Boy, it sure feels weird writing that! It is so surreal she just turned 6 and will be starting 1st grade this fall! It just doesn't seem right. Anyways, she decided on a rainbow birthday. I might have shown her some rainbow cakes to persuade a rainbow party. :) Pinterest is so addicting.
It was fun to cut open and see!
Lots of art supplies for this little girl! And lego friends. Have you seen those? Legos for girls. They really are cute!! This past weekend was a small party at the park. The one day in May it rains? The Friday morning we were having her party....at the park. It wasn't rain...it was 5 inches of rain in about 2 hours. They closed 291 because it was flooded. Our backyard was a swamp. We were cleaning like mad men figuring we were going to have it at the house. For sure, but the clouds parted and the sun did it's thing and dried up most of the rain. We were able to have it at the park!! We decorated t-shirts.....it was really windy even though it was sunny. I wouldn't recommend t-shirt decorating in the wind.
Rainbow Jello! Another pinterest idea! I would like to thank my very patient hubby for this project....done twice.
It was a fun party, but small. She only had wanted to invite a handful of kiddos, which I was glad about! This was her very first "friends" party. Her very best friend from school is in the blue. They are so cute together!! I'm glad that everything worked out. Tomorrow, I'm looking forward to going to church, then off to visit family for Memorial day. I'm so glad that summer is here!!

New bag

New bag...not for me, but Olivia's teacher. As I have said earlier, we have been blessed with a teacher that kept up such an awesome classroom, but also had a sense of humor with the kiddos. One night while we were eating supper, Simon was fussing over something, and Olivia told him to "build a bridge and get over it." After Gregg and I both spit our food out from laughing, we had asked her where she heard that. It is something that Mrs. Cooper had talked to them about....not saying it to be mean, but to teach them that they can't dwell on everything...it is pretty funny. Anyways, onto the bag. I was really proud of this one, and I am in the works of expanding my store, because I am in love with sewing bags!! Watch out!! :)
Don't you just love the chevron?
And a matching pouch to keep your bag organized.

Graduation and birthday weekend!

Can't believe my baby girl is turning 6. We just celebrated her birthday this past weekend, but her actual birthday is May 24th. As I was looking at the pictures from her party, it took my breath away as I looked at this baby of mine. No longer is she a baby who needs me, she is this little girl with a beautiful heart. This past weekend we also watched my baby "graduate" from kindergarten. It is all happening so fast, and as much as I am enjoying seeing what this little girl is turning into, I want to stop time and just hold my little baby.
We celebrated with a Rainbow Party!! I absolutely loved the rainbow cake idea, and was so glad I was able to pull it off!!
Love the inside!!
Friday we celebrated kindergarten graduation.
Each kindergartener had to give a speech in front of everyone! Olivia did great! Her speech was "My name is Olivia Baitinger. My favorite part about kindergarten was learning to draw a star. I would like to thank Mrs. Cooper for a great year." Then the entire class sang a song.
Best friends!!
The best kindergarten teacher! We were so blessed to have her this year.
Next post I will post Mrs. Cooper's thank you gift! I just loved how it turned out!
